These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legal agreement between you (“you”, “user”) and Lutfur Ali, independent developer of EG-Docs Editor (“we”, “us”, “our”) for:
- The EG-Docs Editor desktop application for Windows (all versions and plans),
- The website at https://www.egdocseditor.in, and
- Related sign-in integrations (email/mobile and Google Sign-In).
By downloading, installing, creating an account, or using EG-Docs Editor, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.
1. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be 18 years or older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account and purchase Premium.
- You must provide accurate name, email, and mobile number, keep credentials confidential, and notify us promptly of unauthorised use at support.egdocs.editor@gmail.com.
- One account per person/business unless we approve otherwise. Sharing accounts or reselling licenses without permission is prohibited.
- We may suspend accounts with false information, OTP abuse, license sharing, or chargeback fraud.
2. License (what you may do)
- We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use EG-Docs Editor on Windows PCs you own or operate for your own print-shop / personal use, per your plan limits.
- You may install on multiple PCs you operate, but simultaneous active use is limited to your plan’s fair-use (abuse triggers rate-limiting or suspension).
- All rights not expressly granted are reserved. The app, logo, website text/images, and guides are our intellectual property protected by Indian and international law.
3. What you may not do
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, bypass licensing/usage counters, or remove watermarks/notices — except where applicable law grants a non-waivable right.
- Use the app to create forged, counterfeit, or misleading identity documents, certificates, currency, or government records, or to infringe privacy, IP, or any law. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to process every file (e.g., customer consent to handle their Aadhaar/PAN).
- Upload malware, scrape the website at abusive rates, or interfere with sign-in, OTP, licensing, or payment systems.
- Misrepresent affiliation with us, Google, Epson, or any government authority.

ID / PVC printing note: EG-Docs Editor only crops and lays out ID PDFs you already lawfully possess for legitimate printing (e.g., a customer’s own Aadhaar for their own use). We do not verify document authenticity. Unlawful forgery or misuse is strictly prohibited and may be reported to authorities.
4. Plans, trials & payments
- Free Forever: ₹0, 5 tasks/day, up to 5 saved documents, basic editing and PDF viewing.
- Free Trial: 3 days with all Premium features (or 1 month free for the first 1,500 users during the launch offer, where advertised). No credit card or autopay required.
- Premium (indicative): 1 Month ₹69 • 6 Months ₹349 • 1 Year ₹599. Prices in INR, inclusive of applicable taxes where stated at checkout; final price is shown before you pay.
- Premium is prepaid and manual-renew — we do not auto-charge. Your license remains active until expiry, then reverts to Free unless you renew.
- We do not store card/UPI credentials. Payments are processed by the payment provider shown at checkout. Failed, duplicate, or fraudulent payments may lead to license hold pending verification.
- We may change prices or plan limits prospectively with website notice; existing paid licenses are honoured until expiry.
5. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short: try the free trial first; digital licenses that have been activated/used are generally non-refundable except for duplicate charges, failed activation we cannot fix within 7 days, or as required by consumer law.
6. Updates, availability & compatibility
- We may release updates (e.g., v2.4 and later) with fixes and features. Some updates may be required for sign-in, licensing, or security.
- System requirements: Windows 10/11 64-bit, ~245 MB disk plus working space, internet for sign-in/licensing/OTP. AI background-removal models download on first use and need extra disk.
- We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service (e.g., OTP/email-delivery outages, Google sign-in outages, or Windows SmartScreen reputation warnings for new binaries — see download guide on the homepage).
7. Your content & lawful handling of customer data
- You retain all rights to files you process. We claim no ownership over your or your customers’ files (see Privacy Policy: files stay on your PC).
- If you run a shop, you act as an independent controller of your customers’ personal data (photos, IDs). You must obtain consent, limit collection, protect files on your PC, and delete them when no longer needed, per the DPDP Act, 2023 and other applicable laws.
- Do not email us sensitive customer IDs unless necessary for support; redact where possible.
8. Third-party services
- Social login (Google), video tutorials (YouTube), chat (WhatsApp), social pages (Instagram/X/Facebook/YouTube), download mirrors, and printer software (Epson Photo+) are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
- We are not responsible for third-party outages, content, or charges, but we will reasonably assist with EG-Docs Editor–side issues.
9. Termination & suspension
- You may stop using the app and request account deletion anytime (see Data Deletion).
- We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach (e.g., license abuse, unlawful use, payment fraud) with notice where practicable. Prepaid fees are non-refundable on termination for breach, except as law requires.
- On termination, your license ends; you must uninstall and cease use. Local files on your PC are unaffected.
10. Disclaimers
- EG-Docs Editor is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy of AI background removal / edge detection / ID auto-crop).
- Always preview before printing. Paper, ink, and printer calibration affect output. We are not responsible for wasted consumables due to incorrect settings.
- Beta features (e.g., digital-signature verification) may be inaccurate and must not be relied on for legal decisions.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from the app/website is limited to the amount you paid for the current license term (or ₹1,000, whichever is lower). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill — even if advised of the possibility. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g., fraud, wilful misconduct, or consumer rights that cannot be waived).
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your misuse of the app, violation of these Terms, infringement of third-party rights, or unlawful handling of customer IDs.
13. Governing law & disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of India, including the DPDP Act, 2023 and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 where applicable.

- Unresolved disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India (courts at our place of business), without prejudice to statutory consumer forums where you qualify as a consumer.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms with website/in-app notice and a new “Last updated” date. Material changes take effect 7 days after posting. Continued use after effectiveness constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, discontinue use and request deletion.
